Architizer A+ 2026: Jury Vote - Best Kindergarten
Redhill Early Learning Centre was named the Jury Winner in the Best Kindergarten category at the Architizer A+Awards, recognising the project as one of the world’s leading early childhood learning environments.
The Redhill Early Learning Centre, designed by Hubo Studio, was awarded the Jury Winner title in the Best Kindergarten category at the prestigious Architizer A+Awards. Selected by an international jury of architects, designers and cultural leaders, this recognition celebrates the project’s innovative approach to child-centred educational design.
Located in Johannesburg, the centre reimagines the school as a “mini city”: a connected network of spaces that encourages curiosity, independence, movement and collaboration. With its central piazza, vertical ateliers, flexible learning areas and seamless connection between indoor and outdoor spaces, the project creates a rich environment where architecture actively supports the way young children learn, think and grow.
This award is a proud moment for Hubo Studio, Redhill School and South African architecture, placing a local educational project on a global stage.
